- R710Waterford city's dual carriageway ring road, eight roundabouts from the Cork road roundabout to Ardkeen. It shows up on most city test routes.
- N72Heads west from the N25 near Dungarvan through Cappoquin to Lismore. Single carriageway out of Dungarvan, with better surface and hard shoulders towards Lismore.
- R675The coast road links Tramore, Dungarvan and the seaside villages, while inland the Comeragh Mountains mean narrow rural roads and real hills. Good practice for the hill start.

Where will I sit my test in Waterford?
One of two RSA centres. Waterford city is at Crossroads Business Park off the Cork Road. Dungarvan is at the Civic Offices on Davitts Quay. The city covers the east of the county, Dungarvan covers the west. We cover both.
Do you cover west Waterford and the coast?
Yes. Dungarvan, Cappoquin, Lismore, Tallow, Ardmore and the villages out that way all sit with the Dungarvan centre, and we teach those routes. Same goes for Tramore and the coast road on the city side.
How many lessons will I actually need?
It depends on where you start. Beginners do the twelve EDT lessons by law. If you have driven before, you may want fewer, focused on the ring road roundabouts or the run through Dungarvan. Your instructor will tell you straight after the first lesson.
Can I learn in an automatic?
Yes, manual or automatic. Note that an automatic test gives you an automatic-only licence. If you want to drive a manual later, learn in a manual now. Tell us which you want and we will sort the right car.
